Lashes: Xtreme Lashes Post Care Guide

Welcome to Eyelash Extensions!!!

Please Read all of the following information! These are tired and true lash tips for ensuring that you keep your lashes looking great in between your lash appointments. It may seem like common sense, but failure to comply will lead to premature lash loss and more time and money spent for lash corrections. BOO!!! You are investing this time to enhance your beauty, so why not do it right, RIGHT?

L-T wellness has to best tips to get you the best lashes.

Here’s the lowdown…

1. After a full set (2hrs), double fill (1.5 hrs), or regular fill (1 hr) make sure to you DO NOT WET YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS WITH ANY LIQUIDS OR ATTEMPT TO CLEAN THEM FOR THE NEXT 24-48 HRS.

2. AFTER 24 HRS, to keep your lashes CLEAN AND REMOVE of additional eye makeup, sweat, natural oils from the face, sunscreen, natural tears, salt water and other environmental pollutants, use XTREME LASHES EYE MAKEUP REMOVER (available for purchase at L-T Wellness)

3. You will need to get LINT FREE LIP APPLICATORS (found on Amazon) to use in conjunction with the Xtreme Lashes Eye Makeup Remover (found at L-T Wellness). These lint free applicators will aid in gently grooming/styling your lashes. (Cleaning Tip: Simply take two of the LINT FREE APPLICATORS and spray one applicator with the Xtreme Lashes Eye Makeup Remover and leave the other dry and very gently, wiggle upwards on the lashes from root to tip in three sections, inner, middle and outer.) Just remember to WAIT FOR THE LASHES TO COMPLETELY DRY AND THEN PROCEED TO BE GENTLY GROOM THEM!

4. Once your lashes are dry and throughout the day, you will want to use MASCARA WANDS (found on Amazon) to groom and reposition your lash extensions. Be sure to use the wand gently as you brush and wiggle to separate and groom your lashes evenly. Don’t ever try to go in with your fingers to correct your lashes, your fingertips have oil on them and the chances of yanking too many lashes out by mistake are high.

5. A SATIN PILLOWCASE (found on Amazon) will prevent lashes getting roughed up against regular cotton or flannel pillowcases and allow your lashes to glide more easily across the surface of your pillow. It has also been proven beneficial and prevention of split ends and other hair damage as well as the prevention of wrinkles on the facial skin.

6. Consider purchasing an ERGONOMIC PILLOW (found on Amazon) that will cradle the back of the neck/cervical spine to keep the head from falling from side to side and thus creating premature lash loss on the side that you predominately sleep on. ATTENTION SIDE SLEEPERS AND STOMACH SLEEPERS! Side sleepers and stomach sleepers have a tendency to smush their lashes throughout the night, so do your absolute best to sleep on you back or position yourself appropriately to prevent this from happening.

7. For face washing and hair drying, purchase a MICROFIBER TOWELS AND WASHCLOTHS (found on Amazon) to prevent your lashes from getting in tangled and potentially yanked out by traditional terrycloth towels and washcloths. (Drying Tip: use your index finger wrapped in the microfiber towel and go underneath the lashes at the base and and gently move upwards to the tips, just go gently, you’ll get the hang of it!)

8. For lash extensions wearers with an OILY SKIN TYPE, consider keeping OIL ABSORBING BLOTTING SHEETS (found on Amazon) in your purse to keep forehead, cheek and nasal oils from settling on and around the lash line. This preventative measure will help the breaking down of the adhesive bond between the natural lashes and the lash extensions which leads to premature lash loss.

9. ATTENTION WORKOUT ENTHUSIASTS AND OCEAN SWIMMERS! Please bear in mind that salt which comes from tears, sweat, ocean, etc…, if left on the lash extensions to sit, will break down the adhesive bond of the eyelash extensions. Try to keep a travel size Xtreme Lashes Eye Makeup Remover (found at L-T Wellness) as well as some Lint Free Applicators to remove any salt water that has come in contact with your lashes in your gym/beach bag)
